Born and raised in the Bronx, Gabrielle Lopez has always believed that everyone has an important story to tell, no matter which path we cross. This is the reason why she pursued a degree in Communications & Journalism. Gabrielle’s career started in the arts with a specialization in social issues. In a 2020 exhibition “2020 Views: Seeing Through Uncertainty” at The Richard and Dolly Maass Gallery, Gabrielle debuts her comic illustrations “Muz The Mummy: Tales of Anxiety and World Events,” which explores the ups and downs of Anxiety, a Global Pandemic, and a variety of world events. By combining her background in journalism and art, her goal was to provide usual PSA’s during covid and normalize having anxiety.

Mx. Lopez works as a Web Content Communications Fellow at the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute. She helps create long-form communications materials for CHLI’s brand, such as research and blog production and reporting on CHLI programs.

In Gabrielle’s spare time continues to work as a photographer and artist. Currently, they are working on designing products, a webcomic, and submitting to upcoming shows. When Gabrielle isn’t creating, she is a gamer who loves museums.
