Future Leaders Conference
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:
The CHLI Future Leaders Conference brings together congressional speakers and distinguished corporate executives to inspire and promote public service, leadership, and entrepreneurship among today’s students. The conference centers on career paths and the richness of one’s diversity in the workplace.
More than 250 student interns, young professionals, congressional staffers, and community leaders attend this conference and career networking luncheon.
Previous panelists have represented: Ford Motor Company, BP America, Comcast, Google, Walmart, T-Mobile, The Council on Competitiveness, Oracle, Facebook, Amgen, U.S. Army, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and Florida International University.
Welcome remarks are by CHLI Chairman, former Member of Congress, Lincoln Diaz-Balart, and members of Congress including CHLI Vice-Chair Congressmen Mario Diaz-Balart and Henry Cuellar, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, Congressman Albio Sires, Congressman Raul Labrador, Congressman Devin Nunes, and Congressman David Valadao.
The conference usually takes place in Washington, D.C. on Capitol Hill. This year the program will be virtual due to the ongoing pandemic. However, next year the event will be hybrid (in-person and live-streamed). Students and young professionals have the opportunity to make career-building connections and gather advice from leaders in their potential career fields.
