Prepare

Global Leaders Internship and Fellowship Program

During both the Fall and Spring semester in Washington, D.C., selected students intern in congressional and corporate offices to strengthen their understanding of public policy while being exposed to some of the top thought leaders in the nation. This unique fellowship provides a young university leader the opportunity to attend all CHLI events and networking receptions in the D.C. area during the semester. Communications & Marketing Fellowship Program

This unique fellowship provides a recent graduate student the opportunity to serve as the CHLI point person for the execution of its communication and marketing strategy. Fellows gain hands-on experience working with local and national media leaders as they implement traditional media relations campaigns, social media strategies, event planning and implementation and evaluation methodologies.

 

Future Leaders Conferences

The CHLI Future Leaders Conferences bring together Congressional speakers and distinguished corporate executives, Capitol Hill staff, and academic and non-profit leaders to discuss public service, leadership and global competitiveness. One conference is held on Capitol Hill during the summer and another at a university at the Congressional district level.  Read More...

 

Red White Y Tu

The CHLI Red White Y Tu forums will bring together congressional speakers, distinguished civic and community leaders, experts in electoral research and student leaders to discuss the importance of being educated about the political process and the importance of Latino voter participation. 


Connect

Trade & International Affairs Symposium

Held during Hispanic Heritage month, the CHLI Trade & International Affairs Symposium convenes more than 100 international business influencers, Hispanic organization leaders, experts on trade, members of the diplomatic community, foreign ministers and U.S. government officials to discuss trade issues that affect U.S. global competitiveness.  Read More...

 

Congressional Briefing Series

Held on Capitol Hill on a quarterly basis with national leaders and experts from the private and public sectors, these briefings are a valuable resource for Members of Congress and their staff, national leaders and corporations to facilitate in-depth dialogue and discuss issues that impact the Hispanic community.  Read More...

 

New Members of Congress Welcome Reception 

An evening reception to congratulate and welcome the Members of the newly elected Congress. Congressional Members, business and organization leaders, and area dignitaries attend.

CHLI Meet & Greet Receptions bring together Members of Congress, civic, corporate and congressional leaders throughout the country to cultivate and strengthen opportunities and relationships.

Annual Gala and Leadership Awards

Each spring in Washington D.C., this 500 person event brings together an influential and diverse audience of elected and appointed officials, civic, corporate, international and diplomatic leaders and influencers to recognize and honor those who have made a profound impact on the U.S. Hispanic Community.  Read More...

 

Staff Appreciation Reception

The annual Congressional Staff Appreciation Reception held each summer in Washington, D.C. honors two Congressional Staff members (one from each party) for their service and dedication to their constituents and the Hispanic community.
